We were taught to respect our Doctor and there is no doubt they have earned the right to direct us in many ways. My son is a Neurologist and he has had very limited education on diet & weight loss research in Medical School. And he attended one of the highest ranked schools in the U.S. When he wanted to lose weight himself he followed what helped me to lose 44 lbs - reducing portion size and exercising. For me it works because I eat what I want in smaller portions - my brain can’t stand being told I can’t have something! 😂 This method has helped him lose, also - but being a young man he already has a head start (compared to my post menopausal body with a slower metabolism!) There are many ways to lose weight. You CAN do it - you just must figure out what works for YOU personally. For example, I had sweets every day of my weight loss journey. But instead of a whole chocolate bar I would only have about 1/3. Once we see the needle going in the right direction we can feel more encouraged & motivated. Weight loss is a lifelong marathon. In this current climate full of highly processed foods it takes a lot of awareness to not get fat. We are fighting an uphill battle. The deck is stacked against us! This is WAR people! Food manufacturers don’t care about slowly killing us - it’s all about PROFITS. They sit around conference room tables trying to determine the quickest ways to get us addicted to their product. I was just in a gas station whose main profits come from food. Those little white donuts & chocolate Ho Hos are my two favorite food groups! I was SURROUNDED by sugar, carbs & fake chemical laden shelves. It dawned on me this is why so many of us are obese. The world makes it EASY to be fat. We must intentionally support our body with good food that makes us feel good physically AND emotionally. I was 220 lbs and miserable for YEARS and never want to go there again! But weight regain after loss is SO easy - it is a REAL lifelong battle. Just because you lose it doesn’t mean it’s over. It ain’t over until we are dead! 😅 It’s a hard fight - but I refuse to give up because I lived for WAY too many years being obese & miserable. You get knocked down - you get back up again. Weight loss is managed - It is NOT cured. My battle started in my head - but talking back to that negative voice works for me. Tell that voice in your head to SIT DOWN & SHUT UP. You CAN do it. It IS possible to be thin ‘till we croak (barring some specific medical / medication issues.) What it takes: CONSISTENT (NOT 100% CONSTANT): 1. Focus. 2. Attention. 3. Giving yourself grace when you fall. When we slip and fall (it WILL happen) - we EVENTUALLY get UP again!!! If you are down there for months or YEARS like I was - you CAN get back on the path you want to be on. The improved quality of life is 100% worth it! I found out as much as I LOVE food - Literally NOTHING tastes as good as thin feels. It’s a feeling every person deserves and it IS possible to have - even if you are weight loss resistant. (Dr. Phill addressed this in the Ultimate Weight Loss Solution book.) Don’t EVER give up on yourself. You may not feel like you can do it now - but that doesn’t mean you can NEVER figure out how to be sated, satisfied without too many cravings as you age. Sometimes it takes awhile to figure it out - but it IS possible. I’m almost 60 and still learning. 💕

Thank you Barbara for this information🙏 I started to get sick when I was 23 was diagnosed with fibromyalgia,it’s gone downhill since.I’m 56 years old and trying to improve my health. It’s an ongoing battle.😅 I would love to try your cleanse, but I am allergic to barley and I’m allergic to coconut. Are there any substitutes? I did a toxicity test and my body was extremely toxic and I believe that this will be beneficial for me. Thanks again.

Hi Barbara, What is recommended for gaining weight? Can you produce a video addressing low weight and some causes in young teenagers and adults. Can problems with gall bladder bring on low weight? Dietician recommended increasing diet in butter and proteins and suggested Up and Go High Protein drinks in addition to balanced meals. My female rellie loves to eat most often wheat products, adding butter. Also some caramel chocolate sweets, and slices. Why is there trouble putting on weight while eating these foods? Rellie only eats stoneground wholemeal wheat pancake 3 teaspoons butter & jam 3 teaspoons, then that's when ill feeling occurs. But this is an example, which is usually avoided. Also eats processed flour foods like cake, slices, muffins to try gain weight. What alternative should be used to assist healthy digestion and weight gain? Has suffered with acid reflux which reduced eating, didn't gain weight and grew to 178cm while not getting past 50kg. Now is 55kg. But finding it hard to gain any more weight for 178cm height. I will look out for anything you produce in this area to improve health. Thank you for all your excellent food and water and exercise advice. Wish I could contact someone like you in Southern Queensland Aust. I once knew a wonderful naturapath, Dean Armytage in Boonah who has retired years ago...so sorry he is not operating anymore for testing and tailored advice. Thankyou for your giving of your knowledge for free. It's absolutely the most loving thing to do. Thank you for believing in God. For he truly can't be denied. Creation attests to his wisdom. Thanks for sharing some of it for our better health in a world that is suffering from mis-information. Cheryl

My replied canceled by YT to a guy who hated my appraisal for this lady was: Of course I was earnest with my post, but unless you are ignorant, you must be a Cultural Marxist (CMs) 🏳️‍🌈, (hence a worshiper of Debauchery, Crime & Lies), so, if you are American, you are violating the constitution & if you are Aussie, Canadian, Pom, or any other woke descendant Anarchist (Marxists evil religion), you are inserting in your back side the rights of any citizen in the planet of the UN human rights charter, article 19. With the previous, whatever category you fit, it’s a great Pom woman, who delighted with Voltaires defence & rights of freedom of speech, she invented the quote (1% I might be wrong), “I hate what you say but I will defend to my death your rights to say it”. What Voltaire wrote was “the supposed right of intolerance is absurd & barbaric………”.

Rice and Pasta will show up in your fat cells within 12 hours. The body reads it as glucose......and it get processed by the liver and stored as fat. I ingest butter with several eggs, bacon and this keeps me satiated until dinnertime....if my blood sugars drop abit I grab a banana or apple. Along with moderate exercise, I stay trim over 60.😊

A few things I'm having difficulty with... 1) A type 1 diabetic that - with these diet & lifestyle improvements - is now off his diabetes meds. Barbara did say type 1. Now, type 1 is diabetes where the pancreas produces NO insulin. There are no Beta cells in the type 1 diabetic's pancreas. (Beta cells produce insulin). At least this is my understanding - correct me if I'm wrong, please. So - Unless she misspoke and meant to say 'Type 2 Diabetes', I am stumped as to how a type 1 diabetic could - under any circumstances - go off their insulin medication (which is actually Insulin) Type 1 diabetics need to inject themselves with Insulin. I believe there would be no way around this fact. But, yes type 2 diabetes can be reversed with dietary/lifestyle improvements. 2) IMO, Barbara's definition of the 30sec 'High Intensity' stage of HIIT, is a loosely held term. I venture to say that when she was in the Forrest doing 'high intensity' , but 'wasn't even running'...this was not true high intensity. She's also said (a different lecture) that one could do HIIT on a Belicon rebounder. I doubt this is achievable for any... but the most unfit person. Also, when we are in a genuine Anabolic state (and high intensity IS an anabolic state) - we are absolutely gasping fast and deep - mouth agape - for air. No nose breathing here - except in the recovery state. Slow deep nose-breathing is not something we CAN do at the same time as ALL-OUT anabolic exertion. We are supposed to be under the Sympathetic Nervice System's influence with extreme exertion. Then yes, some deep slow nose breathing in the Recovery stage, and we are switched to the parasympathetic system. Nose breathing while doing HIIT (in the ALL-OUT stage, the 30sec ON stage ) - nose breathing would be impossible - No question. Barbara also answered an audience question about 'what high intensity is' - with the answer that, It's a brief exertion that raises the heart rate and breathing rate. (I paraphrased here - but this essentially was her answer) It was incomplete, imo. (because no HR goal was mentioned) She did fail to say - how high the HR & respiration should be in order to actually be near our max HR. Which is the HR we are striving for in the anabolic stage of HIIT. A bit below our max HR - depending on age & fitness level. So, unless I've misunderstood alot here, I have the feeling that Barbara is using the term 'High Intensity' quite loosely - (?) Alot of controversy about animal vs PB protein!. I've been in both camps. Am currently in the Omnivore camp. Did not do well on Vegan some years back - but probably did not do it right. I would def. Like to have the study(s) cited that yielded the data on the 'cleaner burning' aspect of plant protein. As well as some of the other data she mentioned about animal protein's lower absorption rate. I love her lectures, though. 🥰 (I just discovered her yesterday - and am binge watching all of her lectures that I've been able to get access to. I have learned so much!❤ But I do think she must have misspoken about the diabetes in this lecture. And, we definitely do not see eye-to-eye about the definition of High Intensity. 😊 Although, I am open minded on the subject of Vegan and would switch back to vegan if I found that the studies are there, and make sense to me. I would at least consider a vegan or PB diet again and see what the results might be. 😊

Mostly right? I use to do that too and nothing happened. It's when I got brutally honest about what I eat that things started happening. Vegetables and some meat is what works for me. I cut out everything else. Light on the beef and no pork. It takes more energy for your body to digest pork than the energy you receive from it.
